This blog is about partnerships and limited liability partnerships (LLPs) in England and Wales. It explains the law relating to those two different kinds of partnerships, but also includes commentary and articles on various aspects of partnership law and practice, written on the basis of my own experience as a solicitor specialising in partnership disputes.
It also explains what is meant by a “quasi-partnership” – where two or more individuals set up together in business in the guise of a company, but where their relationship is such that the law considers them to owe duties to each other which are similar, in some ways, to those in partnership.
This blog includes original material together with a number of articles which I have had published in the media, including in The Lawyer, Legal Week, the Solicitors Journal and other publications.
If you have any questions about the material on this blog, or if you wish to discuss your own partnership or shareholder issues, please contact me, Andrew Cromby, at my firm, Weightmans LLP
